MLBB Meta — Season 17
The current Mobile Legends meta, updated every 48 hours from real ranked data and MPL pro tournament results. This page tracks which heroes dominate the MLBB tier list, which are secretly overpowered, and which ranked favourites the pros are avoiding. Use it before your next ranked session.
Top heroes by pro pick rate
These are the heroes MPL pros pick most often in Season 17. High pro pick rate means the hero is strong under coordinated team play and refined drafting — a reliable signal of meta power even before ranked data catches up.

These heroes have a large positive gap between their pro pick/ban rate and their ranked presence. In other words, MPL teams draft or ban them constantly, but they fly under the radar in solo queue. If you want an edge this patch, these are the heroes most likely to be under-respected by your opponents.

Fighter • Exp Lane/JungleOverrated — ranked picks the pros are passing on
High ranked pick rate, low pro presence. These heroes are popular in solo queue but don't survive the discipline of pro drafts. That doesn't always mean they're bad — but it does mean their ceiling is limited, or they're easily countered with basic coordination.

Every hero in the current Mobile Legends roster, sorted into tiers based on combined pro and ranked meta strength. S-tier heroes are must-pick or must-ban at every level of play.
How the MLBB Advisor tier list works
Most Mobile Legends tier lists are based on one person's opinion or community voting. This one is different. We pull two independent data sources: ranked match statistics from Mythic-tier players, and pro pick/ban data scraped from every MPL game in Season 17.
Each hero gets a power score — how much total demand the hero sees across both pro and ranked play. High power score = strong at all levels. Then we compute a divergence score — the gap between pro and ranked demand. A big positive gap surfaces heroes the pro meta has found but ranked hasn't caught up to yet (Hidden OP). A big negative gap shows heroes that are popular in ranked but pros avoid (Overrated).
The data refreshes automatically every 48 hours via a GitHub Actions cron job, so the tier list always reflects the latest patch and the most recent MPL matches — not last month's meta.
Frequently asked questions
What's the best meta hero in MLBB right now?
The S-tier section in the full tier list above shows the highest-priority heroes in the current Mobile Legends meta. In Season 17, the top heroes are determined by combined pro pick rate, pro ban rate, and ranked dominance — heroes appearing in all three are the safest picks for ranked.
How often is the tier list updated?
Every 48 hours. An automated pipeline fetches fresh ranked stats and scrapes the latest MPL match results from Liquipedia, then recalculates all scores and updates the list automatically.
Why is a hero ranked S-tier but I rarely see it in ranked?
That's the Hidden OP signal. Pros pick and ban these heroes constantly, but ranked players haven't figured them out yet — or they require a skill ceiling that keeps them from being spammed in solo queue. These are often the best heroes to learn if you're trying to climb.
How is this different from other MLBB tier lists?
Most lists are based on opinion or community polls. This one is entirely data-driven: actual ranked win/pick/ban rates cross-referenced with real MPL tournament results. You can click any hero to see the raw numbers behind its tier placement.
What is MPL ID S17?
MPL ID S17 is Mobile Legends Professional League Indonesia Season 17 — one of the highest-level MLBB competitions in the world. MPL is widely considered the best source of pro-level drafting data because the teams play dozens of games per season against elite opposition. We use MPL ID data as the pro benchmark for the current patch.
